New Forums! The X Crew moves to Kunena!PhpBB3 has been a problem for us with our newest template. And since phpBB3 isn't designed to work with our Joomla CMS, we have moved on to Kunena, which was designed specifically for Joomla. There are a few slight changes, but for the most part they are about the same. We will continue to have our old forums up for the next week, however all posts will be locked. So be sure to make any new posts on the new forums! What Treyarch did RightDespite the fame and popularity Infinity Ward has received for their multiplayer work in Modern Warfare 1 and 2, there are a few things that Treyarch put in their older game, World at War, that were generally unnoticed. These additions were not only extremely balanced themselves, but helped balance the game altogether.
These additions were the perks in the game, consider: Flak Jacket - This perk made it literally impossible to die from an explosion unless it was a direct impact or you were already damaged. Reconnaissance - This perk allowed you to see friendly and enemy killstreaks on your pause mini-map. Toss Back / Shades / Gas mask / Fireproof - These perks allowed for a counter for some of the weapons in the game (frag grenade, flash grenade, gas grenade, flamethrower) and assured that if one of those weapons were to become overpowered, there was already a counter built in.
So, do you like the idea of these forms a counters in a game, or should most perks be only increasing your ability, not reducing others'?

Intel uses Light to Transfer Data and GLaDOS plushies?Intel uses Light to Transfer Data inside PCsEver feel like your download speed just wasn't fast enough? Well, how about being able to download a full HD movie in a second? Recently, Intel announced it had developed a prototype interconnect that uses light to speed up data transmission inside computers. This increases their speed to an outstanding 50 gigabits per second. They also found the advantage of using photonics rather than lasers (commonly used in DVD readers) is the pricing. Intel says it can't forsee this technology being affordable at the integrated circuit level when thinking short-term, but it can be used to replace the copper wires that connect the CPU to the memory. Intel hopes that with more experimentation they can raise the speed to 1 terabit per second. Talking GLaDOS SpheresDon't lie, we all love GLaDOS and her personality spheres from Portal. Haven't you always wanted one of these spheres to carry around yourself? Well now's your chance! See the video and where to buy them here. Last Updated ( Monday, 02 August 2010 16:46 ) |
